It shows too often, or not enough
Frequency, interruption limits, priority and holdouts decide how often guidance appears.
People see it too often
- Frequency: an item set to Always Show or Every Visit comes back every time. Use Show Once, or Every N Days for a reminder. See When and how often.
- Interruption limits: if several pop-ups compete, raise Minutes between or lower Most per visit and Most per day in Settings → Workspace → Engagement.
- Audience: a rule like "Saw or finished other content → Hasn't completed" keeps showing a reminder until they do the thing. That may be what you want; if not, add a frequency cap.
People don't see it enough
- Frequency already used: with Show Once, everyone who has seen it once is done.
- Limits and priority: with Most per visit at 1, only the highest-priority pop-up shows on a visit. Raise this item's Priority, or relax the limits.
- Audience too narrow: check who matches with Estimate on a segment, or with the audience debugger.
- Page pattern too narrow: the item only appears on matching pages. See Where it shows.
- Holdout: a control group in Goal & experiment keeps that share of people from ever seeing it.
To see what actually happens, open the item's analytics. Impressions and unique visitors tell you how many people saw it, and how often.
