Publish your first tour
From an empty draft to a live tour, in a few minutes.
A tour walks someone through one task, one step at a time. Start with a short one: three to five steps on a single page.
You need the snippet on your site first. See Get Cueston onto your site.
Create the tour
Open Tours and choose Create tour. In Tour details, give it a Name your team will recognise (your users never see it) and set the URL Pattern to the page it starts on, for example https://app.example.com/reports*. See Where it shows.
Add the steps
Open Steps. For each step:
- Element — the part of the page the step points at. Choose Pick element to click it on your site with the Chrome extension, or paste a CSS selector from your developer. Leave it empty for a step in the middle of the page, which works well as a welcome.
- Title and Message — what people read. Keep each step to a sentence or two.
The preview on the right updates as you type.
Check it on your site
Choose Preview → Preview on site. Your app opens with the draft on top, only for you. Click through every step.
Publish
Choose Publish. People who match the tour see it the next time they open the page. Saving a draft never changes what they see; publishing does.
If your workspace requires approval, the button reads Request review instead. See Approvals.
Watch it work
Open the page yourself. Within a minute, the impression shows up in Analytics, and the tour's funnel shows how far people get. See Tour and checklist funnels.

- Decide how often it shows: When and how often.
- Make it match your product's look: the Card style, Typography and Button steps of the editor.
