Announcements

Tell users what changed, inside your product

Announcements are your changelog inside your product. Each one is a short post with a headline, the news, an optional image, labels and a button.

What you get

  • A What's new feed

Published posts collect in the What's new tab of the help hub, with an unread badge on the launcher.

  • Feed, banner or pop-up

Show a post in the feed only, or also once to each person as a banner or a pop-up on matching pages.

  • A button that goes somewhere

Add a call to action that opens a page or starts a tour, so people can try the new feature right away.

How it works

From an idea to live guidance, without waiting on a release.

  1. Name it and pick pages

The name is only for your team. Pages set where it's listed and where it can pop up.

  2. Write the news

Add the headline, the body with simple formatting, an image, up to five labels like "New" and a button.

  3. Choose display and date

Pick feed only, feed plus banner, or feed plus pop-up, and set the publish date.

  4. Set the audience and publish

Decide who sees it and how its pop-up ranks against others.

What's included

Publish date
Nobody sees an announcement before its date, in the feed or anywhere else, so you can prepare news ahead of a release.
Labels
Up to five labels per post, such as "New" or "Improved".
Targeting and priority
Show news only to the people it affects, and rank its pop-up against other guidance. See Who sees it.
Interruption limits
A pop-up announcement counts toward your workspace's interruption limits, so news never piles up on one person.
Translations
Write each announcement in other languages. See Languages.

Questions

In the What's new tab of the [help hub](/product/help-hub). Turn the hub on with that tab so people can open the feed.
