MCP server
Build in-app guidance from Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor
Cueston runs a Model Context Protocol server. Your AI app drafts tours, tooltips and checklists in your workspace, checks them against your real pages and sends you a preview link.

What you get
Sign in, no keys to copy
Add the server URL as a connector. Your app opens Cueston so you sign in, pick the workspace and choose what the agent may do.
Drafts first, always
Everything an agent creates or edits is a draft. Your users see nothing until it is published.
Same rules as the dashboard
An agent can never do more than you can. Your role, approval rules and the audit log apply to every tool call.
How it works
From an idea to live guidance, without waiting on a release.
Add the connector
In Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code or Claude Code, add Cueston with the server URL. The setup guide has the steps for each app.
Sign in and pick an access level
Choose Read, Create and edit drafts, or Edit and publish. The level is capped by your own role.
Describe what you need
For example: "Build a five-step tour of the invoice flow for new admins and send me a preview link."
Check the preview, then publish
Open the preview link on your own site. Publish when you are happy, or let the agent send a review request.

What's included
- Learns your product
- The agent reads your workspace and rules, the pages Cueston knows, UI elements with verified selectors, events and saved audiences.
- Drafts every content type
- Tours, tooltips, banners, checklists, surveys, announcements and segments, created and edited as drafts.
- Checks before you look
- Drafts are validated against real pages, selectors and audience size, and come with a preview link that shows the draft on your site.
- Ships under your rules
- Publish or request review, unpublish, restore a version. If your workspace requires approval, the agent cannot skip it.
- Measures results
- Ask for analytics, funnels, survey results, broken targets, or whether a given person would see an item.
- Works with local-only apps
- Apps that only run local (stdio) servers can use the cueston npm package with an API key. Scripts and CI can send an
sk_key directly.
