Help hub

One launcher on your site with your AI assistant, checklists, What's new and help articles.

The help hub puts your in-app help behind one button. When it's on, it replaces the separate checklist and AI assistant launchers.

Turn it on in Settings → Workspace → Help hub.

Tabs

TabShowsOn by default
AssistantYour AI assistantYes
ChecklistsThe visitor's checklistsYes
What's newPublished announcementsYes
HelpSearchable help articles from your AI knowledge baseNo

Each tab shows only when it has something for that visitor: the assistant needs the AI widget, the checklists tab needs a checklist for them.

Turning on the Help tab makes those help articles readable with your publishable key, which is public. Only turn it on for articles you're happy to publish.

Look

Set the launcher's position (bottom right or bottom left), its label (also the panel's heading, up to 40 characters) and, if you like, its accent, background and text colours.

AI agents can read and change these settings with get_guidance_settings and update_guidance_settings (API keys only). See MCP tools.
