Frigade has two products. Frigade Engage is the code-first side: React components for product tours, checklists, banners, announcements, surveys, forms and cards that your team ships as reviewable code, with its own components or Frigade’s. Frigade Assistant is an AI assistant that learns your product, answers user questions and walks people through workflows on screen. Engage is priced by monthly active users; Assistant by queries.
Cueston is built for people who don’t write the app’s code. You build tours, tooltips, banners, checklists and surveys by clicking elements in the Chrome extension, and preview drafts on your real site. An AI chat that answers users from your help docs comes with every plan.

When Frigade is the better fit
- Your engineers want onboarding in React, inside the codebase, with version control and code review. Frigade Engage is built for that.
- You want onboarding to use your own design system components or sit inline in the page, not float over it.
- You want more flows on the entry paid plan. Frigade Growth includes 25 flows and unlimited seats; Cueston Launch includes 15 live guides.
- You want an AI assistant that also runs in-app actions, hands off to a human and, on Enterprise, ships a mobile SDK.
When Cueston is the better fit
- Product, design or support should ship guides without a developer. Frigade’s plan table lists launching with no-code on Enterprise only.
- You want more room for free. Cueston’s free plan includes 1,000 monthly active users; Frigade’s 250.
- You want AI answers without a separate contract. Cueston includes them in every plan; Frigade Assistant starts at $1,000 a month.
- You want to measure a guide against a control group of up to 50% and see results at 95% confidence.

Moving from Frigade to Cueston
- Install the Cueston snippet and identify users with the same ID and attributes you send to Frigade.
- Rebuild tours, checklists and banners in the Cueston Chrome extension. There’s no import.
- Remove each Frigade component from your code as its Cueston version goes live.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a developer to use Cueston?▾
Only to add the snippet once. After that, guides are built in the Chrome extension by clicking elements, or with CSS selectors, and go live without a deploy.
Is Cueston cheaper than Frigade?▾
At list price, yes. Cueston Launch is $39 a month billed yearly for 2,500 monthly active users; Frigade Growth is $300 a month for the same number. Frigade Growth includes more flows (25 vs 15), so compare at your own numbers.
Can I use my own React components with Cueston?▾
No. Cueston renders its own guides over your app. If you need onboarding built from your own components, Frigade Engage is designed for that.
