Terms of service

Last updated 27 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Andrey Cretsu, trading as Cueston ("Cueston", "we", "us") for the use of the Cueston product adoption platform at app.cueston.com, the Cueston snippet, browser extension, API, MCP server and command-line tool (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you accept these terms. If you accept them for a company, you confirm you may bind that company, and "you" means the company.

Our reseller: Paddle

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

When you buy a subscription, you buy it from Paddle, and Paddle's buyer terms (paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms) apply to the purchase in addition to these terms. Paddle charges your payment method, issues your invoices and collects the applicable sales tax or VAT.

Accounts

You need an account to use the Service. Keep your sign-in details and API keys secret; you are responsible for activity under your account and workspace. Workspace owners decide who has access and with which role.

You must be at least 16 years old and use the Service for your business or profession, not as a consumer for personal purposes.

Plans, billing and renewal

The free plan is free and has the limits shown at cueston.com/pricing. Paid plans (Launch, Ascent and Orbit) are subscriptions billed monthly or yearly in advance at the price shown at checkout.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in Settings → Billing; your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for and then returns to the free plan. Changing plan takes effect immediately, and Paddle charges or credits the prorated difference.

We may change prices for future billing periods. We will tell you at least 30 days before a price change affects your subscription, and you can cancel before it does.

Refunds are described in our refund policy at cueston.com/refund-policy.

Your content and your end users

You keep all rights to the content you create in Cueston (tours, tooltips, banners, checklists, surveys, announcements) and to the data the Service collects from your own app and its users ("Customer Data"). You give us the rights we need to host, process and display it to provide the Service.

You are responsible for having a lawful basis and any notices or consents needed to use the Cueston snippet on your app and to send us information about your end users. We process Customer Data on your behalf as described in our privacy policy at app.cueston.com/privacy.

Acceptable use

Don't use the Service to break the law or anyone's rights; to show deceptive, harmful or illegal content to people; to send malware; to probe, overload or get around the security or limits of the Service; to access other customers' data; or to resell the Service without our written permission.

We may suspend access that puts the Service, other customers or end users at risk. Where we can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.

AI features and connected apps

Some features use AI models to suggest or draft content. Check AI output before you publish it; you are responsible for what you publish. When you connect an AI app (such as Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor) to your workspace, it acts with the access level you chose, and its own terms govern what it does with the data it receives.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available and secure, but we provide it "as is" and don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may improve and change the Service; if we remove a feature that is material to a paid plan, we will tell you in advance.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue or data, and our total liability for any claim in a 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in that period. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using the Service and delete your workspace at any time. We may end these terms if you seriously breach them. After an account is closed we delete Customer Data within the retention periods described in the privacy policy; you can export your data before then.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we will tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after that, the new terms apply.
